All Dressed Up....

I bought these adorable glittery birds awhile back...I just now got around to dressing up my hutch in the entryway.....I hadn't done much with it since I took down my Christmas decor...lol.   Soooo, over this past weekend I decided to gussy it up a bit...I like to change it up from time to time just a bit.
I put this sweet Princess Bird in a little nest....she looks quite regal sitting there...waiting on her beau...

..and he looks very attentive and dapper in his top hat.  These birds are much more beautiful in person...I got them from DanieGirl on Etsy.....she's a girl who loves glitter...as I do.

Since my hutch is usually where I like to display my birds and nests etc...I mix up the accessories a bit. This time I decided to add punches of white throughout....my sparkley birds are white and so is this great key I got from JCKEEVER on Etsy...she has a darling little shop and the keys were but a few dollars each.

The wood and the natural elements sometimes can be so dark so I really like the contrast of the bit of white...
                             ................sprinked throughout.
I love my big old chippy seagull....he gets to sit right in the front and center.
Now if I can only get the rest of my house in order I'll be sitting pretty too!

Blessings to all!

Survivors....

Yes, that's a real pumpkin from last Fall...it rests comfortably on this antique kitchen scale on my counter.
They are both survivors...the scale is well over 100 years old and the pumpkin is going on 7 months. I am amazed that this little pumpkin is still holding strong...not a soft spot to be found.
I originally had three of these pumpkins but when I was taking down my Fall decor to decorate for Christmas I tossed the other two.  I really liked how this pumpkin looked on the old red scale so I decided to leave it for just a little while longer, I check it every week for signs of decline but so far there are none.

It just goes to show you that with a good support system you can survive just about anything.

Blessings to all!

Thanks for the Memories.........

Elizabeth Taylor 1932-2011.  Thank you for all the great films.

Still Here.....

I'm still here.....we've been busy bees here at the Bittersweet household...lots going on.  March has always been a busy month for us.  I should be back posting and visiting sometime next week. I have lots to share!
There are state exams this week and since my son is schooled at home we are having to travel for the exams 3 days this week....not too too far away but wish it was closer!
Blessings for a great week!
