Colored Lights and Cupcakes

I didn't realize it had been so long since my last post....we've been in full Christmas prep. mode as I'm sure you all are.  For many many years my husband has been a stickler for white lights only on the Christmas tree...this year he decided he wanted to go with colored lights for a change and we love it!  We opted for a slightly smaller tree, you know how it is, the kids get bigger and the gifts get a bit more pricier so they are fewer and far I liked not having to put up every single Christmas ornament that we own. (It's the putting away part that I loathe)

We recently celebrated a certain someone's special birthday....Sadie turned 9! She gets her very own cupcake each year since she's been with us...this year it was red velvet with cream cheese frosting.
She loves her carbs, a girl after my own wonder she follows me everywhere...:) We love her so much, we've had her 3 years now and it seems like it was just meant to be.

I hope you all have a great day!!

Love your tree - it looks perfectly shaped! That is such a cute pic of Sadie and her cupcake! Give her a great big Happy Birthday hug from us - she is so sweet!
Lace & I put up our tree last night and I was already dreading putting all of the ornaments away :o) We have both white and colored lights on and it always looks so magical!
Love you!

Your tree is so pretty!! We have changed from our very large tree to a silver tree and no one seems to care. It is so hard to get the kids gifts, it is so pricey! Merry Christmas to your family. Dianntha

Three years already? Where HAS the time gone? I know, I'm always saying that.

Your tree with colored lights is wonderful. We have one of each...colored lights on the really wee tree in the window.

I don't much care for the packing up of Christmas either, but let us not get ahead of ourselves.

Enjoy each day...

Your tree looks lovely! I like the colored lights too. We have a new tree this year with all Snowman Ornaments. Long story but My family and I made snowman ornaments to design and donate a Christmas Tree to be sold at the Kennedy Krieger Institute's Festival of Trees. The money raised goes to support their wonderful Autism Program's that both my children haved benefited from greatly. Well my sweet husband surprized me by buying the tree for me at the Festival. It's special because all the ornaments are handmade by our family members, I will treasure this wonderful Christmas memory forever.
It looked liked Sadie really enjoyed her Red Velvet Cupcake! That is so sweet. Happy Birthday Sadie!
Finally thanks so much for following my blog. I just started it last month and I'm really enjoying it.

Merry Christmas to you and you Family!
Chris :)

Happy Birthday Sadie!!

If I gave either of my mutts that much sugar, I would be peeling them off the ceiling! You are very brave.

I can't believe how fast time has flow .. that you have had Sadie for three years!

The tree looks great .. I'm not putting one up this year. Too much darned work!
